Emily is the
daughter of a Baptist pastor. Inspired by her church’s musical culture, she started writing and performing at a very early age. In her late teens, after a prolonged battle with illness, she returned to her musical roots as a way to cope. She was inspired by pop artists such as Ariana Grande and Britney Spears.
